I know It's a long shot. Our very own Robert Downey jr's contract with MARVEL is coming to an end. So, there is hardly any chance that we are gonna see an Iron Man 4 film. But if MARVEL continues their franchise of Iron Man with maybe another actor (Tony's son anyone?) then there is a long list of villains who can give Iron Man a tough competition.
With Avengers: Age of Ultron around the corner, let's check out some of Iron Man's villains who can make it to the big screen in near future.
So, let's begin.
4. Madame Masque
Whitney Frost was a wealthy socialite and also one of Tony's several girl friends. She was born as Giulietta Nefaria, daughter of the super villain Count Luchino Nefaria. While giving birth to her, her mother died and Luchino wanted her to lead a respectable life. So, he gave his daughter to Byron Frost a wealthy employee of Nefaria.
After the death of the Frosts, Luchino approaches her and reveals that he is her true father. He tells Whitney that he wants her to take his place as leader of the Maggia, a Mafia-like organization running on the East Coast of U.S. She willingly accepted her role as the Maggia leader. And this led to a conflict against Iron Man. Whitney is forced to flee after a raid on his company, Stark Industries. The plane she escapes in crashes and Whitney's face is scarred, but she is saved by the criminal Mordecai Midas and starts to work for him. Midas is obsessed with gold and Whitney hides her face behind a golden mask and uses the alias "Madame Masque".
Masque met Tony who showed concern over her despite her scarred face. She make Midas help Tony but she leaves him because of her criminal past. But she could not forget Tony and returned with the alias Krissy Longfellow and seved as Tony's personal secretary. Although both of them came to know about their secret identity, they start a romantic relationship. Trying to gain superhuman powers, her father, Count Nefaria faces life threatening situation. She brought her father to Tony to find a cure. But her father uses violence against Tony and a fight breaks out between them. Whitney was unable to chose between her father and lover during the fight. When her father's life support is damaged during the fight, she goes insane.
If she appears in Iron Man 4, that would be really great.
3. Ezekiel Stane
Ezekiel or ZEKE Stane is the son of Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger). He is megalomaniac and has been building bioweaponary and next-gen weapons for super villains since he was nine (When I was nine...phew I don't even remember!). Zeke shares more similarities with tony than his father Obadiah. He is considered as "Tony Stark 2.0" by Matt Fraction.
Though Zeke share similarities with Tony, he is younger smarter and more ruthless. He is described as:
Zeke is a kind of sociopath futurist, opportunistic super-villain who exploits the modern corporate run, greed-driven society to further his own ends.
He wants to take revenge for his father's death. He himself is bio-mechanically engineered. Zeke has genius level intellect (smarter than Tony), his engineered body enables him healing factor and has repulsor ray implants in him. Zeke is everything Tony fears as an opponent.
He is relatively a new character (Introduced in 2008) in Marvel Universe. But it's not difficult to introduce him in MCU. He would fit perfectly, because of his father. Obadiah died in a battle against Tony in the 1st film. So, MARVEL can introduce him as Obadaiah's unknown son "WHO HAS RETURNED TO SEEK VENGEANCE". Not only that he has his own super-advanced-high-tech suit and can be a very powerful opponent against Tony and pose a really serious threat.
2. Fin Fang Foom
I have Fin Fang Foom on this list because I want MARVEL Studios to attempy this. Fin Fang Foom by all means is a DRAGON, a creepy-humongous-stinking Dragon. He is an alien who came to earth from the world of Kakaranathara (also known as Maklu IV) in the Maklu system of the Greater Magellanic Cloud. He came to earth to conquer it with his Dragon-Friends.
The Makulan vessel is found by another super villain, Mandarin (we'll talk about him later), who steals ten sophisticated rings from it. Awakening Fin Fang Foom, Mandarin used Foom to threaten the Chinese Government. He helps Mandarin to take over of one third of China. Iron Man is then approached by the Chinese Government for help. But he is easily overwhelmed.
War Machine arrives to help. But by that time, other alien dragons of Kakaranathara (who were living as humans for centuries, shed their mortal shell and reveal themselves to the world) join the forces against Iron Man and War Machine. Mandarin realizes that he was merely used by them for world domination and joins forces with Iron Man and War Machine. With the ring powers combined with the Iron Man's armor's energy they are able to create a small nuclear blast that is thought to have wiped out the "Dragons".
Introducing Fin Fang Foom in Iron Man movies would really be a great and refreshing turn of events in the MCU.
Mandarin was born in 1920 in China. His father was one of the wealthiest men in pre-revolutionary mainland China. His father was also a direct descendant of Genghis Khan and his mother belonged to a British aristocrat family. They both died shortly after his death. Mandarin was raised by his aunt, who was embittered against the world and raised him with the same attitude. All the wealth he inherited from his parents were spent in order to train him in science and combat skills. So, by the time of his adulthood, the Mandarin became penniless and was eventually was evicted along with his aunt by the Government and rendered homeless. His aunt too died shortly after. To take revenge upon the civilization that had taxed him and rendered him homeless, Mandarin explores the Forbidden Valley of Spirits, where no one dared to set foot in centuries. There he found the remains of a Makluan Ship. Manadarin spent several years in mastering Makluan technology and the ten rings he collected from the ship. The ten rings gives him unmatched power.
Little Finger ("Ice Blast" Ring): Emits cold waves that can stun any opponent. Can also lower any object's temperature to nearly absolute zero.
Ring Finger ("Mento-Intensifier" Ring): Allows Mandarin to mentally control one or more people. He can give the orders to the person or persons he controls mentally.
Middle Finger ("Electro-Blast" Ring): Emits electrical waves. The electrical waves' intensity is determined by the wearer.
Index Finger ("Flame Blast" Ring): Emits infrared radiation or heat waves at intensities determined by the wearer.
Thumb ("White Light" Ring): Emits various forms of energy along the electromagnetic spectrum.
Little Finger ("Black Light" Ring): Creates an area of absolute darkness that can absorb all the light within the area.
Ring Finger ("Disintegration Beam" Ring): Can emit beams of energy that can disintegrate the molecules of any object that it comes in contact with.
Middle Finger ("Vortex Beam" Ring): Releases supercharged air that creates vortex. The vortex can levitate objects or person or propel the wearer through the air.
Index Finger ("Impact Beam" Ring): Emits various forms of destructive energy. Like a bomb.
Thumb ("Matter Rearranger" Ring): Can rearrange, speed up or slow down the molecules of an object. Can teleport objects or people even to other dimensions.
Okay, Mandarin was already in Iron Man 3. But that's was not the Mandarin we want. That was some goof who was a stage actor.
If MARVEL goes for Iron Man 4, Mandarin is the obvious choice. And the Mandarin with those TEN RINGS can never be a small threat to Iron Man.
