First of all, that is a lot of names and is enough to geek a fan out. However, some fan favorite characters are seen missing from the list.
Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
Spider-Man made his first MCU debut in the 2016 hit Captain America: Civil War. The rights to Spider-Man's character is actually with Sony. After a collaboration with Disney they decided to include Spider-Man in some of the movies. In an interview with Hero Complex, Civil War co-director Joe Russo stated that "The reason that we wanted the character in the movie is that we felt as we were working on the storytelling of ‘Civil War’ it was becoming binary, it was bifurcated, two opposing sides and it was becoming very linear and predictable," Also Joe Russo praised the head of Marvel, Kevin Feige, and the head of Sony at the time, Amy Pascal.
"Only a guy like Kevin Feige could pull it off, and he did pull it off. Credit goes to him and Amy Pascal," - Joe Russo
The recent cast for the latest movie has revealed that Spider-Man is not expected to show up in the movie. According to Tom Holland he is contracted for six movies as well as three solo Spider-Man movies.
"I do know I have three Spider-Man [appearances in other] movies and three solo movies contracted." - Tom Holland
This means you could expect Spider-Man to show up in the fourth Avengers movie and maybe a Phase 4 film.
Falcon (Sam Wilson)
This flying wonder made his first appearance in 2014 in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. After that he made a quick cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron & Ant-Man in 2015 and recently in Captain America: Civil War. He has helped Captain America search for his friend Bucky Barnes since the end of the second Captain America movie. Even though he doesn't play a major role now, he still could be one of the potential New Avengers in Phase 4.
Anthony Mackie, who plays the winged wonder, still hasn't disclosed the movies he is set to appear in. He was last seen in Captain America: Civil War being broken out of The Raft by Captain America.
He could show up in the fourth Avengers movie or a future Phase 4 movie.
The Wasp (Hope van Dyne)
Now even though she hasn't been introduced as a hero it would still be cool for her to show up and make a small appearance. Also, like Captain Marvel this could be her first debut as a hero alongside Ant-Man. It would also help us see how the character has progressed from her first appearance in 2015's Ant-Man to Avenger material. I mean after all as she herself said it "It's about damn time". One thing's for sure; she definitely has to be there for the fourth Avengers movie. I mean there is a movie all about the Wasp before the fourth Avengers movie. Maybe she might pop up in the post credits.
War Machine (Colonel James Rhodes)
The last we saw of him was in Captain America: Civil War. That too, in crutches. Sure we might not expect him to be in any action but hopefully he would be at least mentioned or shown on screen on how he has started to use his legs. Maybe he has recovered, maybe not. Hopefully he will be there in the fourth Avengers movie.
