Umm, Hi. My name is Diego, I am a socially awkward human being, I love writing, and I love geeking out to my favorite movies and tv shows!

Ok, so umm. You may have heard this saying by now

The Book Is Better Than The Movie!

And if you haven't have you been living under a rock for the past 10 to 15 years. The Harry Potter movies are better than the book. This statement will not be a popular statement with 75% of the internet population. I liked the series but I liked the movies better. The books gave you something to imagine and see for yourself. The movie was there to show you how it was meant to look like and how all the characters look. For me I imagined Harry as a more childish character in the first book but then grow into a grown young man in the last book. (J.K. Rowling... Can you explain why the series got like longer with the next book. I mean I went from the first book to the 4th book and I started complaining about the weight of the book on my hand) (Also am I the only one who really likes to hold books when your halfway into it on one hand? Leave a comment) Ok but now onto the list! Also keep in mind this is my unpopular opinion and you can look at this list however you really want.

10 - Jurassic Park (1993)

Directed By: Steven Spielberg

Written By: David Koepp and Michael Crichton

Book: Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton (1990)

Ok. So when Jurassic Park came out in 1993, the technology behind it was WAY beyond it's time so when it came out it was an instant hit. The movie brought the gigantic dinosaurs into the big screen and it was just something amazing to see. I read the book and when I really got to know the characters I realized that the movie's version of the characters was more sympathetic and they felt all the more real. The book's version of the characters I really didn't care if they lived or died but when I re watched the movie I was more invested in their survival.

9 - The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Directed by: Jonathan Demme

Written by: Ted Tally

Book: The Silence of the Lambs (1988) by Thomas Harris

The Silence of the Lambs is an incredibly acted, directed, and produced movie. Jodie Foster as Clarice and BIG PAPA Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter is the best acting duo in a while!

8 - The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003)

Directed by: Peter Jackson

Written by: Peter Jackson, Barrie M. Osborne, Fran Walsh, and Tim Sanders

Book: The Lord of the Rings (1954–1955) by J.R.R. Tolkien

I feel like this is one of those adaptations that is almost as good as the books. Of course there were some changes made but they weren't really major changes I feel like

7 - Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Book: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I know not a lot of people liked this movie. I listen to critics really often.. like really often. But when this book came out I read it and I fell in love with it. The book really takes you somewhere else and the story and characters all feel really believable. I heard people didn't like it and I didn't listen to them because I loved the book that much. The changes from the book (if you've read it) are fairly noticeable which one of the major ones I didn't care about because it enhanced that characters relationship with another. I saw the movie and I liked it. I wasn't surprised to me it was just good.

6 - Divergent

Book: Divergent by Veronica Roth

I just like movies about books everyone finds terrible. I just like this movie. My taste can be considered like actual trash but I agree with them. I mean it's an action movie. (Hunger Games), It's dystopian (Hunger Games), and it has teens fighting (Hunger Games)

5 - Jumanji (1995)

Directed by: Joe Johnston

Written by: Greg Taylor, Jonathan Hensleigh, and Jim Strain

Book: Jumanji (1981) by Chris Van Allsburg

I'm not sure if a board book counts as a book but I don't care because this book and movie are both good.

4 - It! (1990)

Directed By: Tommy Lee Wallace

Written By: Tommy Lee Wallace and Lawrence D. Cohen

Book: by Stephen King

Mr. Bean is me in that Gif. I (LANGUAGE AHEAD! I REPEAT LANGUAGE AHEAD)

I have a love/hate relation with Penny. I love him but I wanna hit him with a shovel. Everytime I re watch the movie/miniseries... I wanna go into the screen and yell at Georgie. IT'S A PAPER BOATTTTT. MAKE A NEW ONE.

Based on: The Shining (1977) by Stephen King

This movie was the first movie I was ever introduced to and it's stuck to me ever since then. The acting, the characters, the plot, and the setting all fit together perfectly and this movie to me is one of the best things. E V E R.
