Ok, so by the title you can probably tell that this is by no meaning a professional or objective article. This is just me fangirling about the new Jigsaw movie.
Jigsaw is the newest movie in the Saw movie franchise. Jigsaw's main premise is about a mysterious killer (I guess you could say) that rounds up a group of people to test them also deciding their ultimate fate. The police then find evidence to link the crimes to the infamous John Kramer aka The Jigsaw Killer who died 10 years earlier. I'll ctrl+v an actual summary.
"A mysterious madman rounds up a group of victims to play sadistic games of life and death. Police soon find evidence that link the crimes to Jigsaw, the infamous killer who died 10 years earlier."
I am a H U G E fan of the Saw movie franchise. I agree it's not the most critically acclaimed movie franchise of all time, but everybody had different opinions. I'll give little reviews on all the movies.
This one didn't set the gore-y standard that the Saw franchise is known more. I feel like this movie was more story centered.
Saw II (2005)
This movie to me was the one that kind of set the standard of how gore-y the next Saw movies were supposed to be + returning victim is a baddie
Saw III (2006)
This movie was the first EXTREMELY gore-y movie. I feel like this movie was more enjoyable for horror movie gore fans.
R.I.P John Kramer and Hello, Amanda!
Saw IV (2007)
During John's Autopsy, A tape is found in his stomach, saying the game isn't over. SWAT Lt. Rigg is forced to play Jigsaw's game to find his police friends. ANOTHER BIG REVEAL!
Saw V (2008)
This movie is like really violent. Not like just violent but like really violent.
Saw VI (2009)
Hoffman is the next heir to the game, is getting hot on the FBI's trail, Jigsaw's grand scheme just wants to be revealed.
Saw: The Final Chapter (2010)
So, I was sad when this came out. Like... really sad but I got over it because Jigsaw was announced! This movie did give me at least a very nice resolution to the franchise.
So, after writing that I feel like re-watching the trailer and the movies, and listen to a great piece of song... a.k.a Hello Zepp.
Ok, so I'm done.
So dis is a goodbye.
