After numerous delays, #Bioware has finally revealed the official release date of the newest entry in the popular series.
In an update provided on the game's site and across social media, Bioware has announced Mass Effect Andromeda will release on March 21 of this year.
For better or for worse, the new game will not be impacted by the ending of Mass Effect 3, instead opting to take players to the #Andromeda Galaxy to experience new stories, new characters, and new worlds. Andromeda will be the series's first game to run on the Frostbite engine.
General Manager of BioWare, Aaryn Flynn had this to say:
"Over this holiday break, developers at BioWare took home a version of the game in what we call the “holiday build”. This is a longstanding studio tradition that goes back to the early days of the original Mass Effect. Many load up a PC or console and go home to play as much as possible at their leisure. Coming back from holiday, the feedback has been great. Getting the endorsement from members of our studio, many of whom played key roles on the original trilogy, was definitely a key factor in helping us lock in on the date."
Hopefully the staff at Bioware are right about Andromeda! With the recent news, hopefully we will be provided with more details on the game.
