That's a joke, by the way.

But in season 11 of America's Got Talent, 12-year old Grace Vanderwaal won. She became an Internet sensation for her performance of her original song, "I Don't Know My Name".

She later went on to win the show and what I've noticed is that people have been very angry about the result, saying they're not going to watch the next season because of this. This is bullcrap. For example, look at these comments:

What. The. Hell.

So, let me just argue against some of these idiots that are bullying a 12-year old child who wanted to follow her dreams.

The Show Was Rigged

This was not the only comment I saw that said something about the producers of America's Got Talent rigging the show in Grace's favor. Well, first of all, it was America who voted for the winner.

Second, host Nick Cannon said before announcing the winner that there was only about a 1% difference in the top three acts, which included Grace, magician Jon Dorenbos, and mentalist group The Clairvoyants.

There is literally no proof that the show was rigged in any way. You sound like Donald Trump before the election was over. But I guess since he won, the election magically wasn't rigged. I guess it was only rigged when Trump was losing in the polls.

AGT Promotes Her Too Much

I got these comments from the America's Got Talent Facebook page and every time they post something about Grace, they get a bunch of these comments about how they're promoting Grace more than any other past winner.

But I looked at the page's last 20 posts and out of those 20, only 5 had Grace in them. And here's the thing: two of them were Grace's recent performance on the AGT Holiday Spectacular.

And I don't really have a problem with that because they had videos of other people that performed in the special.

And if you look through and say Grace is the only one that they shared twice, that's not true. Heidi Klum and Sal Valitinetti's cover of "Santa Baby" was also shared twice. The other was a video of Grace telling New Yorkers to audition for the show on January 27th.

And again, this is not any special promotion because they had a video of season 9 winner Mat Franco telling people to audition.

They also had videos of other AGT contestants telling the fans to audition.

So, that was not any special promotion either because they had other contestants and even a past winner promote the auditions. The other was a picture of Grace wishing fans a happy new year.

But this LITERAL PICTURE of the AGT season 11 winner was somehow enough to trigger all of the idiots that made everyone furious going "YOU PROMOTE HER SO MUCH." And there was also this article that they shared of her and her success.

Well, first of all, she won the show when she was only 12 years old. She has had a lot of success and before the show, she had no experience in performing. So, being able to win a reality show and getting thousands and maybe millions of Americans to vote for her is something that deserves to be promoted when you're only 12 years old.

So, it seems like people aren't angry because she gets promoted "more than past winners". People are angry because she's getting promoted. At all. Which is pretty sad.

"She Doesn't Have Talent"

Are you kidding me? Let me tell you something these very mature adults might have forgotten: Grace is a 12-year old singer.

She is 12 years old and she wanted to follow her dreams of being a singer and she got it. And these adults are literally bullying and trying whatever they can to put down, harass, and act like a jerk to this young girl.

If you had a child, how would you feel if she just wanted to follow her dreams and be happy with her life but all anyone did was make her feel bad and stuff when all she wanted to do was entertain people.

I'm not going to criticize you for not liking her music. If you don't like her music, that's fine. But for God's sakes, she is young and just starting, so swarming her with discouraging comments and telling her she will never be a star is not something I feel like she would be happy with.

And you can't really criticize her for being "talentless". You can criticize her voice (it hasn't matured yet, just wait a few years), but she writes her own songs.

I remember when I wasn't much younger than her and all the songs I was writing were about baking cake and Hufflepuffs. So, she is very good at writing songs, compared to me and a lot of people her age.

Wait a minute. I don't know what this person was trying to say. He clearly says "AMERICA was wrong", but he then says that she should have lost and LET someone with talent win.

This guy contradicted himself in his own comment. She couldn't just "let" someone else win if America voted for her. And he wants HER to have a bad year. Well, whoever wrote that comment is probably going to have a great year of harassing children who follow their passion.

Okay, this one was kind of dumb. There may have been people you might have thought had more singing talent than her, but why would you bring up Tape Face?

For those that don't know, Tape Face was a mime act. He was, I'll admit, funny and entertaining, but the things he does requires literally no talent at all. He's very enjoyable to watch, but at the end of the day, ANYONE can do what he does.

And this person thinks he should have won instead of a very talented songwriter?

We're not calling you haters because you don't like her singing. There are many who don't like her singing. And that's fine. But how can you look at these and say that it's not bullying, hating, and making an innocent singer feel bad?

These are adults that are going insane because a 12-year old girl won a reality show by singing some songs. And I don't understand why they're freaking out so much. And stop saying that the show is rigged and that she shouldn't have won. You can't change it now. She won and that's the end of it.

Now, you might be calling me a hypocrite after everything I've said about Trump since his victory.

But that's different because first of all, we KNOW that Trump didn't rightfully win because he lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. So, that's not just some random claim we made just because people don't like him.

Second, Trump DESERVES criticism, because this is a man who has committed acts of assault, scammed thousands out of their money, and is a racist thin-skinned xenophobe. He deserves to be criticized because he's a jerk, but a 12-year old singer does not deserve hateful criticism.

So, do us all a favor and stop trying to discourage this amazing young girl who made a miracle happen.

And that's it!

Okay, so I know this isn't usually what I write about. I just felt that since I liked the show and I liked Grace, that I should speak out against all the hate she was getting. But soon, I'll release more anti-Trump posts. I didn't want to curse in this one, so I'll let loose later.
