The EA UFC 2 game is entertaining for MMA fans and allows them to act out some dream scenarios between their favorite fighters, but did you know that it's also pretty good at predicting the winner of fights?
The UFC has used it to predict some of their biggest matchups of the past year and the game has a decent success rate.
The game has successfully predicted the victories of #ConorMcGregor (vs. Eddie Alvarez), #DanielCormier (vs. Rumble Johnson), and Germaine de Randamie (vs. Holly Holm). Unfortunately, not even a computer is perfect, as seen by its selection of Luke Rockhold (vs. #MichaelBisping) and #RondaRousey (vs. Amanda Nunes).
That brings us to the #UFC212 main event between featherweight champion #JoseAldo and interim featherweight champion #MaxHolloway. The fight will decide the unified and undisputed king of the division — if we ignore the fact that Conor McGregor has victories over both men.
The simulation has both men trading strikes for tough 5-rounds. There are periods in the fight where both men land hard strikes and have the momentum on their side, but it's Max Holloway that sees his hand raised at the end of the night.
