Taboo is the new show from FX about a man, supposedly dead, that comes back to his home after being gone for a long time. He's not the same though, he's seen things, what has he seen? I don't know, that's what I want to know at the end of the show. There are a lot of questions that need answering after watching the first episode, and I'm hoping to have all of them answered.
Episode 1 intrigued me, I was very interested in Hardy's character and want to know much more about him. Hardy does a fantastic job in portraying this torn character. I really loved this episode I can really see this show going somewhere as long as all the questions are answered and the other characters get more attention. The costume design is obviously amazing. The visuals are great, but I wish this first episode was more entertaining. There were a few times when I was just plain bored, I was begging for answers and only got 2 second flashbacks, but hey, this is the first episode.
There are so many selfish and self-centered people in the first episode a lone, the East India dudes are so selfish and all they do is sit on their asses. They want something from Hardy that they don't deserve and as stuck up as Hardy is in this show, he refuses.
Overall, I thought this was a really good start, Taboo has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see what happens next. I'll give this episode 7.5/10.
