Scream Queen Caroline Williams joins the cast and production team of the long awaited psycho-werewolf feature, The Lycanthropist. Horror fans remember Caroline from the 1986 Toby Hooper horror, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and the Kane Hodder franchise picture, Hatchet 3, just to name a few titles from a very long resume.
The Lycanthropist is a new and dark spin on the werewolf genre that focuses on the mental element of Lycanthropy, written by award winning screenwriter Blu de Golyer, who wrote the Universal Pictures distributed and eight time award winning thriller, House Of Good And Evil and the horror comedy franchise, Hillbilly Horror Show.
The script for The Lycanthropist has has won numerous awards and has been floating around the studio system for several years and at one point was nearly greenlit by a major studio with A list talent attached. The producers felt this unique take on the werewolf genre would lose the psychological aspect at the proposed $20 million dollar budget and decided to make the film in house at a lower budget, keeping true to their indie roots and intention.
A town falls victim to a series of gruesome murders, an FBI agent with a tattered past must work with the local Sheriff to stop the beast before she too falls prey to The Lycanthropist that howls under the full moon.
