Sin City fans are in for a treat today, as Dimension Films release two videos of the filming process for A Dame to Kill For, the follow up to the 2005 original based on the comic book of the same name.
Artist Frank Miller remains very much at the helm, with almost all filming taking place on green screen in order to make way for his neo-noir hyper-aesthetic (which, unsurprisingly, is not so green).
The plot is drawn from several of Miller's shorter comic strips, and stars an ensemble cast featuring Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke.
Promising to be just as explosive as the first, the sequel is again directed by Robert Rodriguez, though it lacks the input of Quentin Tarantino, who is busy crafting his own long-awaited Western The Hateful Eight.
But Rodriguez has confidence that A Dame to Kill For will be even better:
The first film was very early for green screen… People knew what they were going to do this time. The performances are 10 times, 100 times better.
We shall see. But for now, check out the smokin' behind the scenes footage below.
