After the synopsis and trailer for Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales debuted, we expected more information and details to be released soon thereafter. Sadly, no other details were divulged — until now that is.

Keira Knightley Is Returning As Elizabeth Swan In 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'

In the latest breaking news, sources are reporting that Pirates Of The Caribbean alum has been confirmed to have filmed a small part in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Knightley's character of Elizabeth Swan will make her return in the post-credits scene, leading into a sequel, where Elizabeth Swan will rejoin Will Turner and Jack Sparrow.

The report also indicates that Knightley's Elizabeth Swan will be reunited with Orlando Bloom's character of Will Turner, and Depp's Jack Sparrow in the aforementioned post-credits scene. Other than those few details, nothing else has been said. The news of Keira Knightley returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise raises more questions than it answers.

Here are three of the most intriguing questions we need answered after learning of Knightley's return.

3. How Will The Turners Be Reunited ?

The last time either Will or Elizabeth Turner were seen, their paths were heading in completely different directions. Will Turner was setting sail as Captain of the Flying Dutchman, and Elizabeth Turner was left pregnant, waiting for Will to return.

The scene appeared to separate the Turners for good, but with the two being reunited on screen in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, it seems as if Will Turner's eternal duty as Captain of the Flying Dutchman won't keep him separate from his wife, Elizabeth, for too much longer.

There's a possibility of Will Turner remaining as the captain of the Flying Dutchman throughout Dead Men Tell No Tales, but it's much more likely that Will Turner's role as captain of the Flying Dutchman will be written out of the continuity so that he's able to return to the central focus of the film without being hindered by his duty to the ship.

2. Can Will Turner Be Freed From The Flying Dutchman?

As to how Will Turner will rid himself of his ties to the Flying Dutchman is still to be determined, but the soon-to-be introduced artifact — Trident of Poseidon — could play a a part in freeing Will of the curse tying him to the Dutchman.

The Trident of Poseidon is said to grant its wielder control over the seas. That blanket statement can mean that the Trident Of Poseidon holds dominion over all those who fare the seas, including the captain of the Flying Dutchman.

1. Where Is Henry During The Turners' Reunion With Jack Sparrow In The Post-Credits Sequence?

One of the biggest mysteries left unsolved is the fate of Will Turner's son, Henry. Brenton Thwaites is apparently portraying a teenaged Henry in the upcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Henry was briefly introduced in the first trailer and from what's been seen, we can assume he'll play a pivotal role in the film. His absence during the post-credits scene is quite intriguing since Henry's absence could be the reason why the Turners have reunited with Jack Sparrow.

There's a good possibility that Captain Salazar will either kidnap Henry or trap Henry in his old prison, the Devil's Triangle, during the final act of the film. At which point, the Turners will turn to Jack Sparrow for his help in rescuing their son.

However, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales could conclude with the Turners' son missing after Captain Salazar is put back in his grave. That would give the Turners a reason to recruit Jack Sparrow in their search, since Jack Sparrow can locate anyone with his handy compass.
