The Game Is On!!
(Happy New Year!) Let's start off 2017 with something that we've been anticipating for (about) two years: #Sherlock! Ever since the end of Season three, fans (including myself) have been rabidly awaiting to return to 221B Baker Street. (Okay, technically we had The Abominable Bride to keep us busy.) Was The Six Thatchers worth waiting for? Once again for emphasis: two years! Well..... (Oh yeah, I promise no spoilers!)
(So far) Yeah, it was worth waiting for! I quite enjoyed how this takes place right after His Last Vow. (Okay, technically it's after The Abominable Bride.) So with Moriarty being dead, who's left to bombard London? Nobody knows quite yet. This is just the start. John and Mary obviously are new parents in this episode. (No that's not a spoiler!) #Sherlock and Mycroft are still as witty as ever. Lestrade is back for Sherlock to embarrass, which we all find hilarious. I could've sworn I've recognized a few faces from different shows as extras. I'm not entirely sure who they are.
What else of The Six Thatchers did I like? Story wise, this episode kept me on the edge of my seat. It was full of suspense and thrills. The Six Thatchers is loosely based from Conan Doyle's The Six Napoleons. Luckily, it's been quite a while since I've read that story, so I don't remember what happens at the top of my head. Which is great because I probably would've predicted what would happen. (Not fully of course.) I love how #Sherlock visually shows us what each character is texting. I mean, wouldn't it be boring if they just showed Benedict Cumberbatch look at his phone and NOT know where the plot will progress to?
Lastly, I enjoyed two other aspects of The Six Thatchers. I immensely adore how everyone at 221B Baker Street is like a family. We know that these characters would go to extraordinary measures to ensure each other's well-being. Which leads to the biggest shock of Sherlock so far! I can't tell you what it is, unfortunately. You should just tune in anyway possible. For me, I'm using iTunes. I'm just can't wait for the rest of Season Four to progress. Then sadly, be forced to wait another eternity for #Sherlock to continue.
Hey everyone, I hoped you've enjoyed this article. I honestly feel a little rusty since I've been so busy with my job. And I couldn't really go into much detail without going into spoiler territory. But I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to the rest of 2017 with you!! :D
