A comedy that follows three Chicago EMTs who despite their narcissistic and self-destructive personalities are uniquely qualified to save lives.
Okay so here’s another TV show that I saw on Tumblr and peaked my interest.
It did start out mildly funny, also cringe worthy and stupid but thankfully did improve as the season went on.
The cast, especially the three leads, are funny and entertaining although some of the smaller characters that appeared in the first episode did disappear early on in the season, they did reappear for the second half.
The jokes do get funnier as the season goes on and bounce off all the characters in different and amusing ways, which is perhaps why there are more group scenes in the second half of the season.
The second to last episode of this season went in a different direction than all the others when it seemed to drop the comedy and went with a serious episode about the real issue that ambulance drivers would face on a day to day basis – which I think may have been the best episode of the whole season.
While this was a funny and enjoyable show, I don’t think I’ll be watching this season again and if it was to have been cancelled at the end of this season, I wouldn’t have been too broken up. I do want to see the second and last season but I don’t feel an urgency to get to it.
