As you've probably noticed, I've been following the progress of Jeepers Creepers 3 quite closely, and it's been a while since we've heard any production news around the film. However, the official Twitter page for the film made a big announcement on the 18th August!
On the 13th September, the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood will be hosting a one-off screening, where the original 2001 film and the third film will be shown, each accompanied with a Q&A. Jonathan Breck (who plays The Creeper) and Gina Phillips (who played Trish Jenner in the first film) will be attending.
Here's the official flyer:
Tickets for the event can be found here (However this event has nearly sold out so be quick!)
The event's host, Kory Davis, also went to the event's Facebook page to disband some rumours that have been circulating around the internet in the past few weeks, including the supposed September release date:
I just want to squash some rumors! This is the first ever screening of Jeepers Creepers 3. It's the whole film and it is the final cut! The movie will not be releasing this year. That September 26th thing is false. There won't even be a trailer for awhile.
So, it does seem that the release date that appeared on AMC Theatre's website is fake and we won't be seeing a wide rase till 2018. However, two official photos were released on the 19th August, showing a close up of the film's villian, The Creeper, and the other one showing two new characters from the film examining a familiar looking weapon.
Jeepers Creepers 3 is due to be released in 2018.
