The publics love affair for Andrew Garfield is wierd to me... I mean I think that on most levels, including the terribly miscast Peter Parker, amazing spiderman was one of the worst comic book movies ever made. Instead of being fun it tried to ride the coat tails of nolan's batman (which are overrated Imo) Also a quick little origin before the credits never hurt... In fact every spidey book and most little cartoon movies that my son has do it again and again... Spider bite, with great power comes great responsibility, uncle Ben is killed... Not that big of a deal. Spider man is ultimately for little kids and sentimental to adults... Keep it kid friendly and the movie will succeed.
