With the combination of 2-D, hand-painted animation and computer animation, the film is a spectacular family approach to the Biblical story of Moses. It may not be 100 percent based on the Biblical account; however, it was beautifully created. When I was younger, I watched this dozens of times. Now, at 22 years old, I have a greater appreciation. Each character portrayed within the film has different characteristics; no face is alike. The music is spectacular, including the bit of Hebrew in "When You Believe."
The makers of this movie did a wonderful job, along with another film about Joseph ("Joseph: King of Dreams"). Dreamworks has given us a more family-friendly account of the Bible story that everyone should watch. It may not be to watch for the Biblical account only, but for an unfolding of beautiful animation.
