You can pretty much look at anyones life and find someone who is unarguably better off or not with comparison. I see this argument for sports stars vs teachers, or musicians vs cops, it's endless. The idea of being fair could be a unnatural concept that humans have been burdened with. It's very much a manipulative tool that can easily rally the have nots in the world. As for this article specific point, I think it's important to understand no one forced anyone to take more or less money. The options to take none was also available. Same harsh point can apply to the overall comparisons. How that makes any one person feel is subjective. The universe doesn't care. A lion that hunts better and feeds more, won't take less just to help another less fortunate lion. We would all be better off trying not to compare each other or think equality is a natural idea.
