I think the better comparison would be between Disney and Warner Bros. Both make excellent movies, but I dare say Disney (and by extension, Marvel) makes more child-friendly movies while WB (and by extension, DC) makes more adult-geared movies. In my honest opinion, I like a lot of what WB makes because they often make the audience think and reflect. Their movies feel a lot art, in that the filmmakers seem to express themselves in their movies. Disney is alright, and their animated movies are just stellar, but sometimes, they just feel so...mass-produced, formulaic. All the Marvel movies follow a specific formula that's getting really old. And...I don't even want to mention Fox or anyone else.
