In Pokemon X and Y. A feature was introduced which allowed the player to customize their appearance in the game so Calem/Serena (the person you play as in X and Y) would look the way the player prefers him/her to. When the remakes of generation 3 games Ruby and Sapphire were introduced, this feature was removed. The player in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has a set appearance that cannot be changed. In Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the player has Blue eyes and a Red shirt with Gray shorts and Brown hair. I remember using the P.S.S on Pokemon X. When it shows passerby, The icon I see represents what their player actually looks like. In ORAS, you are limited to icons of different kinds of trainers that exist in the Hoenn region. I'm not saying that makes the game bad, but if I were to have an icon of my character in Pokemon shown to someone, I would rather have it actually look like my character.
