I have been waiting since 2007 for this game. I have loved all its predecessors and personally think it would be hard for valve to screw that up unintentionally. I really don't see why valve hasn't finished this game (half life 3), from what i have seen in its previous editions, its made good money, its got a lot of fans and followers, and if valve is scared that people won't like the game, they need to think in the big picture. Though granted, yes, there are people that take games they don't like hard, that's a small percent of the gaming community and a lot of the "likes" go unheard. The rest of us will still like the game even if it's the last one, though I personally hope it's not. There is even room for taking the game to the next level, Multiplayer. Valve makes a lot of money in multi-players in game series like Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Day of Defeat, Left 4 Dead, Portal, and Team Fortress. In the past I have heard as to one of the reasons why Valve hadn't finished Half Life 3, was because of the Multiplayer side of gaming. More people go for multiplayer games then single player ones, yet it would be, in theory, just as easy to make Half Life 3 a little like what was done with portal 2, a single player and multiplayer co-op game. Portal 2 was a "big hit" in this area what with co-op gaming and would definitely like to see this type of game play in half life 3.
