My son has high functioning autism. He often claims that there are ghosts in the room we share and, truth be told it is true, but that's not what creeped me out when I put him to bed one night. It was like any other night, I told him it was time for bed, we argued about it till I steered him into his bed and we would talk about the ghosts and how they wouldn't hurt him and about the next day and how he needed to get to sleep and so on. Only this night he called me in from the living room crying. I asked him what was wrong to which he replied sobbing "I'm going to lose you, moma! I don't want to lose you!" I got goosebumps, I tell ya! Needless to say I spent the next few minutes convincing him that I wasn't going anywhere. It was just plain creepy!
